Ginger (Zingiber officinale) is a root which needs tropical or subtropical climate to grow.
Its inside has a yellow colour and it has a very unique fresh and spicy taste and many healthy benefits. Largely used in the Southeast-Asian and South-American cuisine in many ways, it is now very famous and requested in Europe.
Production area and harvesting
We receive our ginger from plantations in Peru where the climate is perfect to cultivate the ginger root. The harvest begins around September and lasts until May. It can be stored further without drying out because of a natural long durability.
We offer the fresh gingers loose in cardboard boxes.
